Neoloy® Tough Cells
Neoloy Tough Cells is a Novel Polymeric Alloy (NPA) developed to increase the strength and endurance of geosynthetics. It is the only alloy on the market today that can guarantee geoengineering properties for up to 75 years.

Neoloy technology provides a solution for soil stabilisation by confining infill material mechanically in a three-dimensional honeycomb structure. The ability of the Neoloy Tough Cell to confine soils over time depends on maintaining its shape. A structural failure can occur if the geocell geometry changes by 3%. The infill soil settles, compaction is lost, and the design specifications are invalidated if the geocell volume changes over time.

Vertical loading on geocells in load-bearing applications like highways, railways, airports, and ports, for example, is transmitted laterally to hoop stresses on cell walls. This stress results in deformations that build up throughout the course of a project's design life cycle.

More than 80 research publications have been published in the previous 15 years, proving the effectiveness of Neoloy Tough Cells (NPA) for soil reinforcement in highways, railroads, retaining walls, and other geotechnical engineering applications.
As a consequence of this comprehensive research, NPA is the only alloy with a validated engineering methodology that integrates performance qualities based on structural engineering criteria.

Furthermore, the exceptional performance of Neoloy Tough Cells has been shown in thousands of applications in the UK and throughout the world. Leading engineering organizations and institutions have testified that the new generation of geocell is competent for long-term civil engineering application under rough load circumstances and environment.
